It is the most straightforward thing on the facials list and the one people book before a photograph.
The angle is the treatment. Held at forty-five degrees against taut skin, a sterile blade lifts the dead surface layer and fine vellus hair without catching living tissue. Every treatment finishes with a mask and high-quality products, absorbed by skin with nothing left in the way.
WHAT THE BLADE REACHES
What comes off, and what stays
Too shallow and it skips; too steep and it catches. Forty-five degrees against taut skin lifts only what is already dead.
Surface debris
What cleansing alone leaves behind in the texture of the skin.
Vellus hair
The fine, soft hair that traps product and dulls light on the skin.
Dead corneocytes
The outermost layer of skin cells, already shed but still sitting on the surface.
Living tissue
Untouched. The blade never reaches the layer beneath.
The blade is for the hair you cannot see.
Vellus hair is fine and colourless — not the terminal hair of a lash or a brow. It is not the reason anyone books this: it is the reason foundation sits differently afterwards.

Treatment price
Dermaplaning is £50 for a 30-minute treatment. It is also used within HydraDerm and the Million Dollar Facial if you want it combined with other facial steps.

Current treatment price
Dermaplaning does not change the hair follicle, so fine vellus hair grows back with its normal characteristics.
