CRYOTHERAPY · READING
What would you like removed?
Skin tags, warts and verrucas, treated with the CryoPen. Fifteen minutes, from £50, and significant improvement is often visible after a single session.
HOW CRYOTHERAPY WORKS
Precise cold, focused on one small area
Cryotherapy uses controlled cold to target skin tags, warts and verrucas. The CryoPen keeps the application focused on the treatment area, and suitability is checked before the clinic proceeds.
Appointments are listed at 15 minutes, with prices from £50. The exact treatment depends on the size, location and type of area being assessed.
WHICH ONE IS IT?
Above the skin, on it, or into it
The difference that matters is where each one sits relative to the surface. That is what decides how it is treated and how long it takes to clear — and it is the one thing a photograph cannot show you.
Skin tag
Soft, skin-coloured and on a narrow stalk — it moves when you touch it. Neck, underarms and eyelids, where skin rubs skin or clothing.
Wart
Raised and rough, like a tiny cauliflower. Firm, and it does not move. Caused by a virus, so it spreads if left alone. Hands, fingers and knees.
Verruca
A wart on the sole, pressed flat by your weight so it grows inwards. Often tender to stand on. Soles and toes.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
First, make sure cryotherapy is the right route
The clinic offers CryoPen treatment for skin tags, warts and verrucas. If you are unsure what the area is, contact the team before booking so they can tell you whether cryotherapy is an appropriate next step.
The exact treatment plan depends on the area being treated and is confirmed with you before treatment.
If the area needs medical assessment rather than a beauty-clinic treatment, the team will advise you to take that route first.
NOT SURE? ASK FIRST — THE RIGHT ROUTE MATTERS MORE THAN FORCING A BOOKING.
AFTERCARE
What to expect afterwards
Mild redness or swelling is normal and usually settles within a few days. Here is the rest of it, in order.
The freeze
A few seconds per blemish. Sharp cold, then an ache that fades within the hour.
It darkens
Redness, and sometimes a small blister. This is the treatment working, not going wrong.
A scab forms
Leave it alone. Keep the area clean and dry, and out of strong sun.
It lifts away
On its own. A stubborn verruca may want a second visit — that is normal and expected.
It is the only thing that turns a clean result into a mark. Keep the area clean and dry, keep strong heat and sunlight off it, and let it lift on its own.
PRICING
One price, three treatments
Fifteen minutes, from £50, whichever of the three you need. If more than one area is treated, the clinic will confirm the price before treatment begins.
More than one blemish in a single appointment is quoted before we start. You will know the number before anything is switched on.
