LASER HAIR REMOVAL · WOODLEY
Three wavelengths, one appointment
We use the latest-generation Soprano ICE Platinum. Three different wavelengths of light run at once, so the treatment is tailored to your hair and your skin rather than set to one compromise.
THE MACHINE
Three wavelengths, running together
Each reaches a different depth, and each suits a different combination of hair and skin. Running all three at once is what lets the settings be chosen for you rather than averaged across everybody.
IS IT SUITABLE FOR YOU
Will it work on your hair?
Suitability depends on factors including hair colour, skin tone and the treatment area. The consultation is used to check whether laser is likely to be a good fit before a course is planned.
The laser is attracted to melanin. The more the hair pigment contrasts with the skin around it, the more light is absorbed and the better it works.
Less pigment means less absorption. It may still respond, and the consultation is where we look properly rather than guess. If it will not, we will say so and point you at waxing instead.
HOW IT WORKS
Light, then heat, then the structure that regrows the hair
Four steps, and the fourth is the one that matters — the dermal papillae are what regrow a hair, and without them it does not come back.
Light finds the pigment
The beam is attracted to melanin in the hair — not to the skin around it.
Light becomes heat
That absorbed energy converts into heat inside the hair shaft.
Heat travels down
The heat runs down the hair into the bulb at the base of the follicle.
Growth structures are disrupted
The heat is directed into the follicle to disrupt the structures involved in regrowth. Repeated sessions are needed because only actively growing hairs respond at each visit.
Laser only affects a hair while its follicle is actively growing, and at any moment only some of yours are. That is the whole reason a course runs to six or eight sessions at intervals set for your course: each appointment catches a different set of follicles, and the reduction builds. Shave between sessions — do not wax, because waxing pulls out the hair the laser needs to find.
WHERE WE TREAT
Five areas, everybody welcome
Laser hair removal can be used across a range of treatment areas. Suitability is confirmed at consultation before a course is planned.
Legs
Half or full, the most requested area
Armpits & arms
Fast, and among the most responsive
Face
Upper lip, chin and sides
Bikini & intimate
Private room, female therapist
Back & chest
Large areas, usually booked by men
ON THE DAY
What one session feels like
The appointment itself is short, and most of what decides whether it works happens either side of it — how you turn up, and whether the next one is in the diary before you leave.
Shave the area
Come with the area shaved, not waxed. The laser needs the follicle intact below the surface.
Patch and settings
Skin type and hair colour are checked, then the wavelength and power are set for you.
The pass
A cooled head glides over the skin. Most people describe it as a warming sensation.
Cool down
Aloe or a cool pack if the area feels warm. Redness, if any, fades within hours.
Next one booked
Before you leave, so the spacing stays right. Drifting between sessions costs you progress.
ABOUT PRICING
Why laser has no price list here
Every other treatment on this site shows its price. Laser does not, and that is deliberate rather than evasive.
Laser pricing is confirmed after consultation because the treatment area and recommended course affect the total. You receive the proposed session plan, spacing and price before treatment begins.
Consultation before treatment
We assess the hair and skin, carry out the patch test, then confirm the recommended course and quote before treatment begins. If laser is not a good fit for your hair, the team will explain the alternatives.

What happens at the consultation?
Long-term hair reduction planned as a course. Suitability and likely response are discussed at consultation.
Resin wax that adheres to the hair rather than the skin. Eighteen areas, and smooth for three to six weeks at a time.
Read about Lycon WaxNot hair — but if what you actually want removed is a skin tag, a wart or a verruca, that is fifteen minutes rather than a course.
